Battle Report by Win Suteerachai

This is a really big battle between 'ALL' the Imperial guys and GIRLS(hehe) VS the aliens.

Basically, everyone has 2000 points(except this guy who has been playing for 9 years). Since there are more aliens than there are marines, sisters, and guards, the guard guy get to have 6000 points(many people play marines but they don't have enough army or time, but the guard guy has TONS of tanks).

Before the Game:

The Imperial, IM, plans to cut the aliens force in half with tanks and hand-to-hand units. They will then concentrate fire on one side of their army(the stronger one, obviously) and then finish off the other.

Main object for each army:
Guard: Use tanks to blow the enemy into two parts and fire tons of heavy weapons to decrease the enemy line.

Sister: Send out three immolators stuffed with heavy flamer to make them run away from the middle, and kill tanks with seraphim.

2 UltraMarines: send out bikes to support the tanks and fire tons of boltguns.

DarkAngle: send out hand-to-hand units when the enemy line is cut.

Space Wolf: Kill tanks and big monsters(DUH!!!)

The Aliens, AL, try to attract the IM with cheap units(homagrant, termagrant, eldar and DE warriors, and Gretchen). Then press all the force on the left side of the map hoping the terrain would help protecting them.

Each of AL objectives:

Chaos: use thousand sons(can't be killed with S4 or under) to block all the bolt on the left side of the map, send down daemons(KILL KILL KILL).

3 Tyranid: put homa and terma on the middle of the map to attract the IM, shot with spore mine, send down good troops on the left.

2 Orks: All army to the left.

DE: Kill tanks(almost every unit has darklance), and use that cloak guys to stop the marines from shooting.

Eldar: Shoot, shoot, shoot.

Turn One AL:
The cheap units advance,  some good units move the left, 9 spore mines fly into the sky onto marine's heads(killing a bunch of marines, about 14, never realize how good spore mines are). Some fire manage to reach us and two tanks go down and a few marines fall.

Turn One IM:
The Table is around 48", so I cannot fire the inferno right away(there are about 30 IG tanks -_-'). We march as far as we could with the tanks and then kill some Homas, Termas, Eldar, and one DE Ravager with heavy weapons.

Turn Two AL:
Spore mines continue pouring, but not as much damaged as they did the last time. Another 3 IG tanks go down(and one stunned), some marines fall(lucky that they really are scared of marine and guard tanks NOT ME). A Homo unit CHARGED my tank(obviously didn't do any damage)?!?

Turn Two IM:
5 homas and Gretchen units got toasted and run away(the result of sticking together too much). I realized that they will come from the left, so I send 2 of seraphim there. The IG tanks blow away 2 spore mines and another DE ravager and one Talos. The marine bikes charge DE and Eldar, and the AL were totally ran over. The SW send one chaos tank to meet his daddy, and get 2 wounds on one Blood Thirster. Some little damage were also going around.

Turn Three AL:
The AL continue their way on the left some fire got on marines(again), two grotesques(the DE that can't be killed by Shooting with S5 or lower) units charged marines and all of them were unable to drive each other back(they try to keep the daemons for good units). More little units charge my immolator(dadada). The DE that are always count as being in covered charge SW from nowhere, but were beaten because the SW veteran is tough like a bear(he knew they were coming for him). 4 IG tanks go down(by both DE, Eldar and a Carnifex) + one of my immolator blown up by prism cannon(NO!!!).

Turn Three IM:
My immolators reach the spore mines and burn them away(mission accomplished). IG tanks start to push leftward. My left over heavy flamer blow away a small unit of DE(they have tons of small unit, so they can have as many darklances as possible). 3 SW kill two Blood Thirsters!!!!! My two seraphim go and blow down two chaos tanks. Lots of combat engage(not me of course), marines tend to win.

Turn Four AL:
The rest of the AL line get to charge and guess what, Woom!, half of the IM line fly into the sky. Although the marine Dreadnought kill the Eldar WraithLord, the marines have more than half of their army killed. My two seraphim got into hand-to-hand, but a few survived(didn't run because of their rites).

Turn Four IM:
The IG tanks stop moving and pour their guns back to the IM base line, of course killing 2 carnifexs, 3 hive tyrants, and 1 GreatUncleanOne. The AL suffer a huge casualty and that sort of determine the battle. The rest of my army on the north sort of burn away the rest of their army(my left over heavy flamer got killed by the tons of eldar). Some shooting was going on and then the game was over.

The IM won by just 200 points.

Lesson that I learned:
Never keep you force in a line facing North when the enemy is on your flank(hive tyrant will shoot you with the straight 18" line gun).

Spending too much on hand - to - hand is not good, because tanks will blow you down.
