VSS with Plasma Pistols by John Swann
The painted one was an easy swap. I used the plasma pistol from the Necromunda Mad Donna Ulanti fig as her Plasma Pistol is a lot smaller than the SM ones (and thus looks better IMHO). As an added plus, it's available as a cheap bit and is easy to work with. The conversion itself was just about as easy as they come.
The other VSS (two views) was a bit more involved. Obviously, she's got another Mad Donna Plasma Pistol. I filed down the Icon she's holding in her hand with a dremel so that it was flush with her chest, and then used a tiny bit of Kneadatite to position the gun in place. When that was dry, I popped it off and then glued it back into place (Kneadatite doesn't hold that well compared to Superglue). Her sword arm is from the Seraphim VSS. I cut her existing arm off at the end of her arm guard (at the angle of the guard) and cut the Seraphim's arm of at her glove. With a little filing both hands remained usable. Then it was just a matter of drilling and pinning the new arm into place, playing with the position, and gluing it. What' better still, the old arm will fit on the Seraphim for another conversion I have in mind. Waste not, want not...
